9in (22.85cm) Construction Mattress

     The Construction Mat is primarily used for separation, stabilization, and protection of underwater pipelines in deep and shallow water. The mat weights 10,500 pounds (4,763kg) dry and are 9 inches (22.85cm) thick.

     The design of the mats allows for self-silting and proper separation between the pipelines. The silt-in process aids in the mat's stability. The Construction Mat is easily installed by a ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle), diver handling frame or Submar's patented mechanical handling frame, especially designed for ultra deep-water mattress deployment. Submar mats can be supplied with patented 'Non-Shielding', 'Non-Abrasive' pads.

4.5in (11.85cm) Revetment Mattress

     Revetment Mats are an articulating concrete mat used primarily for pipeline protection, erosion control, and shoreline stabilization. This 6,200 pound (2,948kg) mat is 4.5 inches (11.85cm) thick. The mats can be removed and replaced after required pipeline maintenance. If the stream undergoes significant changes, the mats can be repositioned to compensate for changing flow patterns.

     The mat has open areas that allow re-vegetation through the mat and has a low hydraulic profile when placed in a streambed. We 'blend' in with the natural riparian corridors and the design for matted areas includes a rapid return to a natural appearance. Our designs have created wildlife habitat and increase diversity in streams where mats were installed.
